Glad you're back on your feet sniper...I wonder what on earth could be in store for Wren now...he has a deranged (and probably armed) loony chasing him Marry Poppins style over the rooftops (please don't start singing chim-chimney-chim-chim-cheree, we do not need dancing chimney sweeps!), and he also has a hot tip from an equally hot belly dancer about potential room and board. What on earth will happen next?

Did anybody miss the deranged giggle from Lawler? It made me laugh so hard, because it's always disconcerting when the insane giggles when they know they have the upper hand.

To dispel that myth, that was not a tooth. If you zoom in, or just lean a little closer to the screen, you will see that it is a blob of red; blood. Wren kicked him in the side of the face and lip, and this made Lawler show a bit of blood. Though I can't understand why Lawler doesn't have a split lip or any sign of injury, not even the red cheek he had in the last panel or two.

Ah, good to see you up an at it again. I trust the procedure went well and that you're recovering just as nicely? The usual quality hasn't suffered.

Two questions this week. One, did Wren hit hit head on the roof, or is he just plain dizzy/headachey/exhausted/in pain? Two, why is his vision black around the edges but totally clear in the middle? It's usually fuzzy all over and dark around the edges when you're THAT tired.

Great idea! Never thought of that... The murk trench is probably meant to keep murk from drifting over the walls, since the stuff is heavier than air and stick close to the ground.

Fraust: well, as to the vision thing, call it "artistic license". After all, it converys the concept, without detracting from the reader's third-person perspective. As an aside, the only time I ever came close to fainting, my vision went black around the edges without the rest going fuzzy, and the black kind of closed in...When I've gone 3 days without sleep (ah, college...), my vision might get black spots, but not fuzzy. Everyone's different :)

Yeah, I get that sometimes too. I call it the blood rushing to my head, it happens every once in a while when I'm sitting down for too long then suddenly stand up, AKA "tunnel vision". There are many different documented causes for it, concussion, lack of oxygen, tiredness, hanging upside-down, sugar high, falling in love, you name it.
On a side note, I love Snipe's eye-drawing style, where in one frame he has dilated eyes, but no pupils, and the next frame he has narrowed eyes in anger or stress. Just accentuates the emotion and expression of the characters. ;)

Yeaaaaah, college. Gotta love it. NOT. I wish it only affected my ability to stay awake in class, not on the road.

But back to the comic. I'm drawing more from page 33, chapter 6 than my own experience in this case. Second-to-last panel. I normally don't care so much about consistency, but for some reason it's bugging me in this case.

One of the best things about webcomics, or any artwork really, is that you can make your character look so much more awesome than he/she really would in real life. For example, teal/black colored hair like Lawler's, gravity defying hair and clothes, awesome colored eyes, or just the capabilities to do neat things, like hammerspace, or wall-climbing parkour moves.

Long-time reader, first-time commentator here. Just wanted to say that I hope you're getting better, Snipes! We were worried about you for a while there.

Lovely page as usual. Somehow, Lawler's claim is less than reassuring. Maybe it's the aforementioned insane giggle. :D

P.S. I just realized that when I read Lawler's dialogue, I "hear" it in the voice of Simon from Invasion America. XD (And if anyone even remembers that obscure '90s cartoon, I'll be surprised! But there you go.)

Usually it updates every Monday, but it's been a bit more sporadic lately- assumingly because of illness, or real life. But that's alright, 'cause we're a patient audience =)

It IS fairly irregular. I mean, a once a week webcomic shouldn't be so stressing, there's many comics that update two or even three times a week and make it a point to be not only on time, but even early. White Noise is very well plotted, fairly drawn and well colored, but irregularity just makes it a drag to try and follow.

For a story like this I can be very patient. Not only is the story well defined and moving swiftly to keep us all interested but there are twists that we may (or in Lawler's case 'NOT') expect. Also the artwork is very well done. I look forward to you recovering Snipes and hope that you'll be feeling well enough to post something soon. 'Patience is a virtue' as the saying goes but I believe patience is a talent cultivated daily.

Seriously, I like this story, and I vote regularly because I think the author deserves it. BUT if you're not going to update regularly, then say so. Change your "Updates on Mondays" for "Updates once or twice a month".

No one cares what you think about updates and schedules. You're not the one producing the artwork, and the one that's actually doing the work is providing you with entertainment for free. Get off your high horse and just say 'thank you' or say nothing at all.

By far, one of the few, TRUE gems out there in the wide world of post-apocalyptic web-comics. And believe me, I've read more than my fair share. I've stuck by with this comic and the Creator for a few years now, through her various works, so believe me, There are easily dozens of fans for each ONE of us that actually types up one of these comments. So those who gripe, complain, and belittle the artist for her infrequency due to whatever misfortune may befallen her, will truly accomplish nothing, because while you may come and go as you see fit, those who know the worth of the comic, and the artist, will stay. There's no shortage of fans to be found in the interwebs, those who leave.... well, it will be regrettable, but we'll survive.
